dokku (Shell) — A docker-powered PaaS that helps you build and manage the lifecycle of applications
You want git-push deploys for several small apps on one VPS without paying platform prices.
DevOps & Deploy · Self-Hosted
A platform-as-a-service you install on a single server: git push and it builds, containerises and deploys your app, with buildpacks, Let's Encrypt certificates and database plugins included. In practice it is Heroku on a VPS you already pay for, which changes the economics of side projects — a machine that costs a few hundred rupees a month can host a dozen apps. Shell, MIT, and it has been stable for over a decade. The tradeoff is that it is single-server by design. No clustering, no automatic failover, and scaling means a bigger box. Fine for side projects and internal tools, wrong for anything with an uptime commitment.

You need multi-server scaling, high availability, or automatic failover.
