localsend (Dart) — An open-source cross-platform alternative to AirDrop
You move files between phones and laptops across different operating systems on your own network.
Media & Files · Self-Hosted
AirDrop that works between every operating system. Devices find each other over the local network and transfer files directly, encrypted, with no account, no cloud hop and no internet connection required. Flutter, Apache-2.0, and it runs on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux. For anyone who has emailed a file to themselves to get it from a phone to a Windows laptop, this deletes the problem permanently. The tradeoff is the constraint that makes it good: both devices must be on the same network, so it is useless for sending something across the country. Discovery also fails on networks with client isolation enabled, which is most public Wi-Fi.

You need to send files to someone remote, or you are on guest Wi-Fi with client isolation.
