uptime-kuma (JavaScript) — A fancy self-hosted monitoring tool
You run a handful of services and want alerts plus a public status page without a monthly bill.
DevOps & Deploy · Self-Hosted
Self-hosted uptime monitoring with a status page, in one container. Checks HTTP, TCP, ping, DNS and container health, then notifies through 90-plus channels including Telegram, Slack and webhooks. It replaces the entry tier of paid monitoring outright, and the interface is better than several products that charge for it. The catch is structural: it runs on one server, so if that server dies the monitor dies with it and you learn nothing. Serious setups run it somewhere separate from what it watches, or pair it with an external check. SQLite-backed and single-maintainer-led, which has kept it coherent but means the bus factor is one.
You run a handful of services and want alerts plus a public status page without a monthly bill.
You need multi-region checking, an SLA, or monitoring that survives your own infrastructure failing.
