EDITOR'S DEEP TAKE

An API client that stores collections as plain text files in your repository instead of syncing them to a vendor cloud. That single decision fixes the problems teams have with Postman: requests get reviewed in pull requests, they branch with your code, and nothing about your internal API leaves your infrastructure. Offline by default, no account needed. JavaScript, MIT for the core. The tradeoff is maturity — the collaboration features teams grew used to elsewhere are handled by git rather than built in, which is better in principle and more friction for non-technical teammates. Some conveniences remain behind a paid tier.

Use this if

You want API collections version-controlled alongside your code, with no cloud sync and no login.

Skip if

Your team includes non-developers who need shared collections without touching git.
