You want to give an AI tool real context from a codebase without manually assembling files.
CLI & Dev Tools · AI & ML
Packs an entire repository into a single AI-friendly file, respecting .gitignore, counting tokens, and optionally removing comments to fit a context window. It solves the mundane blocker in working with AI on real codebases: getting the code in, without pasting forty files by hand. Supports remote repositories by URL and outputs XML, Markdown or plain text. MIT, TypeScript, and it includes secret detection so you are warned before shipping credentials into a prompt. The tradeoff is that packing everything is rarely the right move — a large repository blows past any context window, and the output is only as useful as your include patterns. Scope it to the directories that matter.
You want to give an AI tool real context from a codebase without manually assembling files.
Your repository is large enough that no context window fits it — narrow the scope first.
